The second ‘Galfond Challenge‘ is complete and once again Phil Galfond is the winner. On Tuesday, Galfond finished his challenge against Ioannis ‘ActionFreak’ Kontonatsios, winning approximately €115,000 from play and a €150,000 side bet.
The ‘Galfond Challenge‘ between Phil Galfond and Ioannis ‘ActionFreak’ Kontonatsios is coming to an end and the two could wrap it up in one final session. Heading into that final session with 886 hands left to be played, Galfond is in the lead by €237,698.66.
Phil Galfond and ‘ActionFreak‘ played for roughly six hours on Thursday, May 21, to push their ‘Galfond Challenge‘ match to an estimated 11,000 hands complete. The session was the 15th between the two high-stakes players and it resulted in a big win for Galfond.
The ‘Galfond Challenge‘ between Phil Galfond and ‘ActionFreak‘ is now 10,222 hands complete. The two played sessions on Saturday, May 16, and Tuesday, May 19, and the current standings have Galfond in the lead by €103,341.37.
