Sweden’s ‘C Darwin2’ #1 on PocketFives for First Time

It has been a volatile last four weeks in the PocketFives Rankings. On January 20, Sweden’s ‘eisenhower1‘, who had been #1 for four months, was bucked from the top spot worldwide. Then, ‘veeea‘ assumed the helm for three weeks. Now, there’s a new sheriff in town.
His name: ‘C Darwin2‘. He calls Sweden home and has amassed $3.6 million in online tournament winnings over the years. This is the first time he has made it to #1 in the world and was up one spot this week.
‘C Darwin2’ has 26 in the money finishes already in February, including a $15,000 haul for winning the PartyPoker High Roller, a score that earned him 236 PLB Points, the measure used to determine the rankings. He has 7,341 PLB Points overall and leads second-ranked ‘veeea’ by almost 200. Swedes appear in five of the top eight spots in the PocketFives Rankings.
Grayson ‘gray31‘ Ramagemade waves this week by moving up eight spots from #14 to #6, his highest slotting ever. He finished second in the PokerStars Sunday Million over the weekend for $156,000 after a three-way deal and earned over 700 PLB Points.

The Sunday Million score was Ramage’s sixth largest all-time. Incredibly, at the end of January, he won a TCOOP $2,100 No Limit Hold’em High Roller for almost $300,000 and 1,268 PLB Points. All-time, he’s on the cusp of passing $6 million and is the top-ranked poker player in Costa Rica.
“It’s definitely nice to have moved up, especially since I’ve had two huge scores recently,” Ramage said. “It’s not something I focus on too much since I don’t put in that much volume, but of course it would be cool to get to #1 at some point.”
Norway’s ‘prebzzz‘ moved up from #34 to #16 on the strength of a win in the Winamax High Roller on Tuesday for $9,200. On February 4, he took down the PokerStars Thursday Thrill and raked in $52,000, his third largest score ever. ‘prebzzz’ is the top-ranked Norwegian and was ranked as high as #3 in the world on PocketFives last year.
Canada’s ‘roo_400‘ jumped up 22 spots to #18, his highest ranking ever. He has $2.6 million in career winnings on PokerStars alone and won the site’s Sunday Second Chance over the weekend for $36,000 and 447 PLB Points. ‘roo_400’ is the top-ranked player in Canada and plays as ‘ipuntstacks2‘ on PartyPoker, where he has $161,000 in lifetime winnings. He is 11 days away from celebrating his 10th anniversary of being a member of the PocketFives community.
Jamie ‘EzGame89‘ O’Connor, who hails from Leeds in the UK, entered the top 100 at #59, his best showing ever. The Brit was the fourth-place finisher in the Sunday Million over the weekend and holds 242 top-three finishes in tournaments that PocketFives tracks. In the brick-and-mortar world, O’Connor won a Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Main Event in Luton four years ago for $73,000, his largest live cash to date, according to the Hendon Mob.

Also entering the top 100 this week was Russia’s Mikhail ‘zinka‘ Galitskiy, who landed at #64, his best ranking ever. He has taken down four MTTs in February, including the PokerStars Sunday Kickoff for $28,000. Galitskiy is the fifth-ranked Russian and #1 in the riverside city of Perm. His largest cash was worth $74,000 and came after winning the Sunday Warm-Up two years ago.
Mike ‘MikeyG3‘ Gentili also set a personal best this week, entering the top 100 of the rankings at #83. He’s the top-ranked player in the border town of Windsor, Canada and is just a few hours removed from a victory in the PokerStars Big $162 for $16,000. His January included a final table in a TCOOP event for $25,000, a win in the TCOOP Saturday Super Speedway for $24,000, and a gold medal in the PokerStars Big $55 for $14,000.
Finally this week, Vicente ‘vicenfish‘ Delgado Zamorano, who was once ranked #6 worldwide on PocketFives, reentered the top 100 at #93. This London resident has four wins since January 30, raising his career total to an even 40. He passed $2 million in career winnings on January 18 and will now look to mount a run at the top 10 once again.
