Wednesday’s 888poker XL Blizzard schedule brought out the bounty hunters as three Progressive Knockout tournaments gave players more than $80,000 in total prize pools to fight over.

Event #19 – $50,000 PKO ($109 buy-in)

The $50,000 PKO was the largest tournament of the day as 411 players (140 rebuys) ponied up their $109 buy-in looking to take home at least $25 for every player they sent to the rail. The tournament proved to be a popular one as the prize pool beat the guarantee, soaring to $55,100.

‘ContaSagrada’ took home the largest haul of the day after taking home $5,286.91 for the victory and adding on another $5,097.78 in bounties. It was the second day in a row that Ukraine’s ‘Enthusuast99’ finished as a runner-up. He took second in this contest, earning $3,925.87 for second place, plus another $1,494.73 in bounties.

Austria’s ‘Ychwerd’ made his second bullet count, taking home the bronze for a combined score of over $3,300.

Event #20 – $20,000 Mini PKO ($16.50 buy-in)

The $20,000 Mini PKO also beat the guarantee as 1,076 players (431 rebuys) helped push the prize pool to $22,605.

Russia’s ’Timstar.nl’ faded the large field, earning $2,035.18 for first and adding another $1,200.90 in bounties on top. Germany’s ‘7obi490’ fell in second place for $1,450.11 and $498.95 in bounties. Fellow German grinder, ‘SuperFlo22’ also took home a four-figure score, picking up just over $1,300 for third place and bounties combined.

Event #21 – $10,000 Late PKO ($33 buy-in)

It seems like $33 was a buy-in sweet spot as the $10,000 Late PKO surpassed its guarantee by one of the largest margins of the entire series. 442 players (117 rebuys) generated a $16,770 prize pool, good enough to award three players four-figure score.

Brazil’s ‘Naki10’ picked up $1,593.40 for his victory and was the only member of any final table on the night that earned more in bounties than their actual placement. He picked up $1,630.53 in bounties, bringing him a total of over $3,200 for his $33 investment.

UK’s ‘AlmostWinnin’ lived up to his name as we couldn’t quite close out the tournament and take home the title. He did however earn $1,173.90, plus $222.21 in bounties, for his runner-up finish. Sweden’s ‘playboy1983’, who made two final tables on the evening, wrapped up the action in third place earning over $1,200 for his placement and bounties combined.
