Timothy Adams Wins PokerStars Championship Prague Super High Roller


PokerStars Championship Prague opened with a bang this week at the Hilton with the €50,000 Super High Roller event. A field of 34 elites assembled and a regular in these fields, Canadian Timothy Adams, claimed first place at a final table that included Sam Greenwood and Koray Aldemir.
Following the elimination of Dietrich Fast on the bubble by Greenwood, Aldemir, the lone representative of the German contingent to make the money, was busted an hour later by Adrian Mateos.
With the blinds at 15,000/30,000, Aldemir raised to 245,000 in the cutoff and Mateos called in the small blind. Mateos put Aldemir all-in for 147,000 on the flop and Aldemir called with
. Mateos led with

turn. Not to worry for Mateos, the

One level later, Greenwood exited in fifth. Turkey’s Orpen Kisacikoglu opened the cutoff for 95,000 and Greenwood pushed for 790,000 from the big blind. Kisacikoglu called with and Greenwood had two immediate outs holding

board was good enough for Kisacikoglu and Greenwood departed.
Adams got on the board to narrow the final table to three by busting out Kisacikoglu. Adams opened the button to 115,000 and Kisacikoglu three-bet out of the small blind to 330,000. From position, Adams called and the flop came out . Kisacikoglu bet 285,000 more and Adams moved all-in and Kisacikoglu called.

Play resumed on Day 3 with Adams holding a large chip lead. Mikita Badziakouski doubled a few times to start play and then Mateos went out with the bronze medal.

river gave Adams a flush to beat the two pair of Mateos.

turn put many outs in play for Badziakouski but he didn’t hit he any that he needed on the
river.
The win is the second for Adams in a PSC series. In April, he won the €25,750 shot clock event in Monte Carlo.
