Heading into the final weekend of partypoker POWERFEST, the Friday schedule was a little lighter than usual. That didn’t stop Tyler ‘SupermanTY22’ Goatcher from picking up his first POWERFEST title though.

Sunday saw both the PokerStars World Series of Online Poker and partypoker Powerfest tournament series get underway with millions of guaranteed prizes on offer to players over the next three weeks. Aside from the first tournaments kicking-off in WCOOP and Powerfest, the normal Sunday majors got underway with some big names scoring with results.

‘Bencb789’ was the big winner across this week’s Sunday Majors after collecting $62,582, which included victory in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $51,562. The well-known MTT player and coach outlasted a field of 1,704 entrants and defeated Andrew ‘eastwest_27’ Theriault heads-up to take the majority of the bumper $340,000 prize pool.
