
Markku ‘markovitsus’ Koplimaa had himself a very busy – and very fruitful – July as took down the PocketFives Leaderboard for the month. Koplimaa picked up 2,601 PLB points through his 20 qualifying cashes to win the Monthly PLB for the first time in his career.
Brazil’s Henrique Bastos Coutinho came through a 5,490 player field to bank $148,292 and become this week’s PokerStars Sunday Million champion. Playing under the alias ‘Galochina10‘ he was able to beat ‘it.happ3ns.‘ into second-place for $104,064, with ‘mrAndreeew‘ taking away $73,028 in third-place. The win for Coutinho meant he smashed his previous best recorded online cash of $10,244 by some margin.
Comin on the heels of his runner-up finish in the XL Blizzard Mini Main Event, Roman ‘Romeopro’ Romanovsky put together a dominant February on 888poker to be the top-earning PocketFiver on the site.
The busy two-week stretch that included PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker, partypoker Powerfestand 888poker XL Inferno allowed some of the best online poker players to hit some major career milestones including one player becoming just the fourth ever to crack the $10 million mark.
This week, Ontario, Canada’s p0cket00became the second person ever to hit $9 million in career online tournament winnings. The other person to do so: Chris moorman1 Moorman, who hit $10 million in online tournament winnings in 2013.
Over the weekend, Canada’s p0cket00(pictured) took down the 888 Poker Whalefor a healthy $46,000. There were 402 entrants at $600 a pop, which sent the prize pool to almost $240,000. He moved up 15 spots in the PocketFives Rankings as a result and used to be #1 last year.
It’s Wednesday, which means the PocketFives Rankingshave been updated. On top for the fourth straight week is Brazil’s Yuri Martins, who is enjoying the longest stint at the top of the Rankings for any PocketFiver since September and the third longest streak since April.
Congratulations to Rick TheClaimeerTrigg (pictured) on winning the 2014 Yearly PLB on PocketFives. Over the course of 2014, Trigg amassed 17,810.21 PLB Points, with a high score of 500. He has been a member of PocketFives since 2007 and has been a force to be reckoned with over the years.
For the third straight week, Canada’s p0cket00(pictured) sits atop the PocketFives Poker Rankings, this time with a PLB score of 7,758 points. He holds a razor-thin 18-point lead over second place, but is enjoying his second stint in the top spot this year and his longest reign at #1 since late 2011.
We have a new #1 ranked player on PocketFives. This time, coming off a win in the 888 PokerWhale over the weekend, p0cket00(pictured) has assumed the top spot in the PocketFives Rankings for the ninth time in his career. This is his third stint at #1 this year.
There’s a brand new #1 ranked player on PocketFives. After a five-week reign by p0cket00, Nicolas PokerKaiserFierro (pictured) assumed the position with 7,589 PLB Points, a scant 57 more than p0cket00, who now sits in second place. The PocketFives Rankings are recalculated every Wednesday.
