As we move into 2020, PocketFives takes a look back at the year that was in poker news, going month-by-month through the biggest and most important stories of 2019. Markku ‘markovitsus’ Koplimaa had himself a very busy – and very fruitful – July as took down the PocketFives Leaderboard for the month. Koplimaa picked up 2,601 PLB points through his 20 qualifying cashes to win the Monthly PLB for the first time in his career.

Brazilian poker players continue to put up fantastic results as the 2019 Spring Championship of Online Poker marches towards its final weekend of action, but one player stood out on Monday. Guilherme ‘guilherme12’ Decourt took down two SCOOP events to become the first player this year to win twice in a single day.
