Canadian Troy ‘iamthedeck ftw’ Quenneville continued his rise up the PocketFives Rankings by taking down the $2,600 buy-in partypoker Super High Roller this weekend for just over $50,000. Quenneville, the #2 ranked player in Canada, could crack the top 25 of the world wide rankings with the win.

There were a number of final table deals reached in major online poker tournament action over the weekend, including a five-way chop in the PokerStars Sunday Million in which fourth-place finisher ‘CherryOnT0p‘ walked away with the largest cash prize of $114,002. The official winner of the event, ‘Apekatt666‘received $100,722 followed by ‘meneerbeer‘ and ‘H1TMANSH‘ who both took home close to $86,465. ‘Ballertimes‘ cashed for an even $66,000 in 3rd place.

Brazilian Edgar ‘edg40’ Almeida made a name for himself by outlasting well over 131,000 opponents to finish first in the $1 million guaranteed “Sunday Storm 6th Anniversary” special event for a $107,732 payday, chopping heads-up with ‘daltonhb‘ who was awarded 106,000. ‘Mishjka xD‘ earned $63,381 in third place and ‘AC_Milan715‘ cashed for $45,181 in fourth.

Quennevile collected $51,698 for the Super High Roller victory while veteran P5er and fellow Canadian Jon ‘apestyles’ Van Fleet picked up $35,159 for the runner-up slot in that event. ‘BuyThaPot‘ was the top finisher in the $530 buy-in version of that tournament, taking home $37,328 for the win.

85th-ranked Scott ‘AggroSantos’ Margereson of the United Kingdom won the $600 buy-in 888 Poker WHALE event over the weekend and took home $29,694.
