Sunday saw some of the best online poker players in the world proving just that as they took home some of the week’s marquee events. The current #1-ranked online poker tournament player in the world ‘C Darwin2‘ of Sweden earned a victory in the partypoker High Roller on Sunday and took home $37,884. He was followed by Kenny ‘SpaceyFCB’ Hallaert (ranked #29) who took home $27,115 for second place.

PocketFives member Mike ‘Pipedream17’ Dietrich of Canada (ranked #803 worldwide) took home $142,031 over the weekend following a heads-up deal in the PokerStars Sunday Million weekly flagship event. ‘RichieA7s‘ finished second and walked away with $131,300 while ‘mr.sun279‘ placed third for $79,098 and ‘Evoryan‘ cashed for $55,509 in fourth.
Brazilian Alisson ‘heyalisson’ Piekazewicz (ranked #79) was awarded $48,353 for an outright victory in the Stars Sunday Warm-Up as fellow member ‘iamVolanD‘ of the Russian Federation scored $34,765 upon finishing in the runner-up position. The $1,050 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Sunday Grand event was won by ‘12u55‘ for $35,532 with second place finisher ‘lsy347422126‘ cashing for the same amount after a heads-up chop. The Pot Limit Omaha version of that tournament was taken down by Jens ‘Fresh_oO_D’ Lakemeier for $27,707. ‘Fear1sWisdom‘ came out on top in the Stars Sunday Supersonic for $34,832 and ‘Saquird‘ outlasted more than 26,400 opponents to win the Sunday Storm for a payday of $24.165.

There was an outright winner in the partypoker $2,600 buy-in Super High Roller showcase event this weekend as ‘llijix133‘ received $48,074 with ‘JHelppi‘ pocketing $35,534 for second place.

The $1,050 buy-in WHALE tournament at 888 Poker was won by ‘M4zlTov‘ for an even $44,000 with Canadian ‘barksdale111‘ taking home $29,920 in the runner-up spot. The “Mega Deep” event was won by ‘allesrigged‘ for $19,958.
