SUNDAY MAJORS: ‘Lucky_Jew_17’ Wins Second Sunday Million in 8 Weeks

For the second time in eight weeks, ‘Lucky_Jew_17‘ won the PokerStars $109 Sunday Million and did so after surviving a heads-up battle against the #3world-ranked #3 ‘Lena900‘.

On March 3, ‘Lucky_Jew_17’ topped an 11,525 Sunday Million player-field for a career-best online score of $117,222, and today did it all over again after battling through 11,212 players to win another $114,039.

‘blockstel‘ hit the rail in third place for $60,052, which meant the formidable 2018 PocketFives POY ‘Lena900’ was the only player standing between ‘Lucky_Jew_17’ and another gold medal. But the heads-up match lasted just a matter of minutes, as ‘Lucky_Jew_17’ used his chip advantage to put maximum pressure on the Swedish player and ultimately eliminated the former world #1 in second place for $82,751 and claimed the glory of becoming a two-time champion.

Jon ‘apestyles’ Van Fleet bested 128 entrants to win the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller for $56,111. The likes of ‘hello_totti‘, Scott ‘Aggro Santos’ Margereson, ‘Lena900‘ and Samuel ‘€urop€an’ Vousden all came and went from the final table before ‘WATnlos‘ picked up the bronze medal for $33,237. ‘imluckbox‘ then fell at the final hurdle and picked up $43,185 in second place as Van Fleet added yet another win to his already stellar online poker credentials.

‘ezynow99‘ defeated ‘sk2ll_m0dR‘ heads-up to win the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for over $87,000. The prize pool was set at $558,000 after 1,116 players took to the virtual felt, and when the field was reduced to the final three, it was ‘andrew_flash‘ who departed with a bronze medal worth $24,391 + $3,546 in bounties. When the final bounty battle resumed, ‘sk2ll_m0dR’ saw their deep run come to an end in second place for $33,275 + $5,123, as ‘ezynow99’ secured the knockout for victory.

Patrick Leonard and Roman Romanovsky chopped the partypoker $2,100 Sunday High Roller Gladiator for over $43,000 a piece. partypoker ambassador Kristen ‘krissyb24’ Bicknell secured fifth place from the 177 player-field for $8,886 + $10,040 in bounties before current world-ranked #8 Sami ‘LarsLuzak1‘ Kelopuro departed with $11,963 + $4,200 in fourth place. ‘shorezydrew‘ then hit the rail in third place for $17,090 + $8,006, which allowed Leonard and Romanovsky to strike a money-deal, before partypoker’s Leonard ultimately won the final battle for $23,927 + $23,493, with world-ranked #2 Romanovsky banking $23,924 + $19,490 as runner-up.

But Romanovsky’s day wasn’t done however as the Ukrainian continued his fantastic 2019 form to win another $150,000 on the GGPoker network.

In the first of three final table cashes, Romanovsky secured fourth place in the Blade Series #096 $1K for $18,000 and followed it up with a third-place finish in GGPoker Blade Series #095 $5k for $39,930. ‘ImLividBuddy’ topped the 55 player-field to win $90,506, following a heads-up battle with ‘MiMosa1‘.

Romanovsky’s biggest single cash of the day occurred in the GGPoker Blade Series #098 $10k after 38 entrants created a $368,600 prize pool. ‘ST4rGaz3R‘ fell in fifth place for $23,169, with ‘oivens22‘ banking $36,808 in fourth. ‘Nator‘ just missed out on a place in heads-up after they took away $58,478 in third, before ‘Picasso16‘ secured the $157,238 first-place prize after seeing off Romanovsky into second place for $92,904.
