SUNDAY MAJORS: ‘GirafGanger7’ and ‘Bencb789’ Pick Up Wins

‘Bencb789, ‘GirafGanger7‘ and Jamie ‘Ship it 2010’ O’Connor were among the big Sunday winners as Roman Romanovsky and ‘hello_totti‘ picked up silver medals.

The biggest prize of the day unsurprisingly came in the PokerStars $109 Sunday Million, after ‘Lucky_Jew_17‘ came through the gigantic 11,525 player-field to bank $117,222. Canada’s ‘BigStick91‘ recorded by far their biggest online score to date for $61,729 after a third-place finish, and when the heads-up battle finally came to its conclusion, ‘Iv Run‘ exited in second-place for $85,061.

‘DRONCHEK‘ got the better of Russia’s #1 ranked online player ‘hello_totti‘ to win the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller. Current world #3 ‘C.Darwin2‘ took eighth place before Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford continued his recent run of high roller results by taking fourth place for $26,237. ‘Malaka$tyle‘ banked $33,916 and the bronze medal before ‘hello_totti’ fell in second place for $43,842, which allowed ‘DRONCHEK’ to come through the 135 player-field and pick up the $56,673 first-place prize.

The UK’s Jamie ‘Ship it 2010’ O’Connor topped a 1,184 player-field to bank over $84,000 in the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller. PokerStars Team Pro Igor Kurganov finished in fifth place for $13,462 + $656 in bounties before ‘mx.k‘ took fourth for $18,366 + $8,940. ‘KuuL‘ departed in third place for $25,057 + $4,777, which saw O’Connor face off against ‘anteen’ for the win. ‘fellatiado‘ defeated ‘69sBigLick‘ heads-up to win the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $32,681. A 997 player-field created a $199,400 prize pool with ‘rofllocktree‘ finishing in third place for $17,211. ‘fellatiado’ then came through the final battle to take the title, and ’69sBigLick’ took away $23,716 in second.

Former PocketFives.com world #1 ‘omgitsgiraf‘ saw off the heads-up challenge from ‘Christoph3rP‘ to win the partypoker $1,050 Sunday High Roller Bounty Hunter Fast. The current world ranked #4 collected $17,699 + $24,651 in boutnies for his win, as runner-up ‘Christoph3rP’ banked $17,678 + $1,235, and bronze medalist ‘mematanlimon‘ was awarded $12,905 + $2,470.

There was a Sunday victory for another well-known name in the poker world as ‘mwhldwn’ aka ‘Bencb789’ took down the partypoker $1,050 Sunday High Roller Deepstack for $40,780. The guaranteed prize pool of $200,000 was met as exactly 200 entrants took part and when the field had been whittled down the final three, it was ‘Melania_Trump‘ who took the bronze position for $21,100. ‘RaiseYourEdge‘ Head Coach ‘Bencb789’ then secured his victory by sending ‘madgenius87‘ to the rail as runner-up for $29,600.

‘SouhftfW‘ secured a second partypoker knockout title in as many weeks after taking down the $1,050 Sunday High Roller Gladiator. ‘Maddonaa‘ was the third-place finisher for $17,196 + $7,710 in bounties, before ‘CrazyLissy‘ was the final player to hit the rail in second place for $23,631 + $6,119, and ‘SouhftfW’ added another victory to their name for $23,658 plus a massive $51,564 in bounty prizes.
