SUNDAY MAJORS: ‘freiwandeln’ Wins Sunday Million After Four-Way Deal

The first online poker Sunday Majors of 2020 featured a massive Sunday Million on PokerStars with the final four players chopping up nearly $240,000.

The Sunday Million benefited from the continuing Winter Series at PokerStars and this week featured a Progressive Knockout format. After 17,073 of the 17,077-player field was eliminated, the remaining players came to a deal. ‘freiwandeln‘ took home the title and $62,970.88 from the prize pool to go with $35,564.87 in bounties for a $98,535.75 payday. Runner-up ‘chv89‘ took home $62,817.30 and another $11,516.09 in bounties. ‘Last port‘ came in third and ended up with $56,874.96 from the prize pool and $11,521.24 in bounties. Finishing one spot off the podium came with a $53,224.68 score and another $7,022.37 in bounties.

The biggest winner on the day on PokerStars was ‘pvigar‘ who took down the PokerStars Winter Series Event #46-High ($1,050 NLHE PKO) for $74,472.81 from the prize pool and another $52,577.10 in bounties. ‘esha22‘ earned $52,811.01 as the runner-up and added $23,367.18 in bounties. Third-place finisher ‘pinduca iret‘ banked $38,897.84 as well as $9,538.08 in bounties.

With the partypoker Million on a one-week hiatus, the big event on partypoker was the $5,200 High Roller Sunday Big Game. The tournament attracted 114 entries to create a $570,000 prize pool and ‘patience’ was happy to take the winner’s share and took home $139,650. Finishing one spot behind ‘patience’, ‘Lone1’ narrowly missed out on a six-figure score, earning $99,750. ‘DasIstMrWurst‘ pocketed $71,250 for coming in third place.

‘GangstaGo’ shipped the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep on 888poker for $19,350. The event ended up with a $7,800 overlay with 353 entries and another 108 rebuys. ‘hurikane3’ finished as runner-up and earned $14,500 while ‘MisterN411’ got $11,000 for coming in third place.
