SUNDAY MAJORS: ’42ayay’ Tops PokerStars Sunday Million PKO Event

For one week only, the PokerStars $109 Sunday Million switched up its format and played out as a PKO event with each player having a bounty on their heads. The prize pool reached $1,279,000 after 12,790 players took to the virtual tables and when all was said and done, ‘42ayay‘ came out on top.

‘Stefkol‘ took the bronze medal for – $33,393 + $1,661, before ‘The39player‘ departed as runner-up for $46,015 + $10,652, with ’42ayay’ winning the final bounty and banked $63,416 + $28,055.

Tomi ‘Elmerixx’ Brouk bested a 158 player-field in the PokerStars $2,100 Sunday High Roller to win $63,707. Scott ‘Aggro Santos’ Margereson took fourth place for $29,076 before Dominik ‘Bounatirou’ Nitsche claimed third place for $37,765. Finland’s Brouk then got the better of former world ranked #1 Joao ‘IneedMassari’ Simao heads-up, with the Brazilian player having to settle for $49,051 as runner-up.

It was then time for Brouk’s bitB business partner Samuel ‘€urop€an’ Vousden to claim a gold medal after the Finn took down the PokerStars $530 Bounty Builder High Roller. Vousden added a massive $46,455 + $42,224 in bounties to his bankroll after navigating his way through the 1,142 player-field. ‘marathur1‘ took the silver medal for $34,051 + $7,865, and ‘Tomatee‘ was awarded $24,959 + $3,240 for third place.

The PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up also became a PKO event for one week only and with the players battling for the bounties it was ‘herr_01‘ who was victourious. ‘Ship_tHis_fu‘ collected $11,307 alongside $1,217 in bounties, before ‘Dawhisky‘ exited at the last for $15,726 + $3,453, and ‘herr_01’ took the win for $21,874 + $19,862.

partypoker online Team Pro Travis ‘DramaticDegen’ Darroch continued his good form to take second place in the partypoker $530 Sunday HR Bounty Hunter for $16,595 + $2,313.’blackaces93‘ banked $11,384 + $1,853 in third place, before Darroch lost out to ‘BigPescado69‘ heads-up with the latter awarded with $16,617 + $28,405 for victory.

The 888poker $100,000 Whale featured a new ‘Rake or Break’ concept with players receiving their registration fee back from $530 buy-in event if the guarantee was not hit. That was to be the case with 176 entrants creating an $88,000 prize pool, with ‘ThERaIN96‘ defeating ‘IggyGak‘ heads-up to win the $20,240 top prize.

Canada’s Tim ‘REALTTWIST’ Kelly won $19,350 for victory in the 888poker $100,000 $215 Sunday Mega Deep. ‘inkhole‘ claimed third place for $11,000 and ‘TonyCipolla9‘ was the runner-up for $14,500.

‘NOMAMES‘ had a Sunday to remember on GGPoker after securing first place in the Sunday Blade $10k and second place in the Sunday Blade $5k. 

The $10k Blade attracted 22 entrants, and ‘NOMAMES’ was victorious for a staggering $111,501. But they weren’t done for the day and added another $52,459 to their day’s earnings in the $5k Blade, but fell at the last hurdle against ‘ST4rGaz3R‘ who took the $85,314 top prize.
