RANKINGS: WCOOP Main Win Propels Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff to #2

Winning the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker Main Event came with a career-best $1.6 million score for Steven ‘SvZff’ van Zadelhoff but it also came with enough PocketFives Leaderboard points to move the Dutch grinder to #2 in the world.
The WCOOP Main Event win gave van Zadelhoff a whopping 3,303.79 points and moved him from #31 to #21. That score wasn’t his only qualifying cash this past week. He also took down a PokerStars Hot $109, picked up a smaller cash in WCOOP Event #66 (Low), and then finished runner-up in another $109 on PokerStars to earn a combined 484.62 points. He now sits 92.98 points behind ‘C Darwin2’, who held onto the #1 ranking for the 11th consecutive week.
A sixth-place finish in WCOOP Event #74 (High) was the only qualifying cash that ‘C Darwin2’ picked up this week. For that the Swede earned $17,891.54 and 247.40 points.
The other player to move into the top 10 was Laszlo ‘omaha4rollz’ Bujtas. The Hungarian went from #15 to #9 thanks to five qualifying cashes this past week for a total of 1085.8 points. In the process he not only cracked the top 10 for the first time in his career but also overtook Andras ‘probirs’ Nemeth as the #1-ranked player in Hungary. Nemeth ended up at #10 in the world this week.
With van Zadelhoff and Bujtas moving into the top 10, two players had to move out and it turns out they are both former #1-ranked players. Fabrzio ‘SixthSenSe19’ Gonzalez went from #9 to #15 while Conor ‘1_conor_b_1’ Beresford fell from #10 to #12.
Just one week after taking down his first WCOOP title and moving into the #13 spot, Chris ‘Big_Huni’ Hunichen dropped to #25.
