Buckle up Pennsylvania, you’re getting your own COOP.

The Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) is coming to PokerStars PA later this month with a seven-figure guarantee.

The inaugural PACOOP begins November 30 and runs through December 16 with 50 events and buy-ins ranging from $30 to $750 with $1,000,000 guaranteed across all events. The Main Event is a $300 buy-in two-day affair beginning on December 16 with a guarantee of $100,000.

“The Championship of Online Poker, or COOP, is one of our most prestigious events and we’re proud to give Pennsylvania its own,” said Matt Primeaux, President, FOX Bet. “Players in PA have already shown their excitement for PokerStars so we took things to the next level with a $1 million series guarantee and plenty of ways to get in on the action.”

While a majority of the schedule is No Limit Hold’em, there are five Pot Limit Omaha events, highlighted by the $500 PLO High Roller on December 9 that comes with a $20,000 guarantee. Mixed game aficionados will want to jump into the $300 Mixed Game event on December 6. That event carries a $15,000 guarantee.

PokerStars PA launched earlier this month and continues to be the only PA online poker site. PokerStars Ambassador Jennifer Shahade, a Pennsylvania resident, is chomping at the bit to be able to play for a title in her home state.

“I’m thrilled to see PokerStars’ COOP coming to Pennsylvania this December, giving PA players the chance to play in a world-renowned poker series and vie for titles,” Shahade said. “Having online poker in Pennsylvania has been amazing so far. I felt chills playing my very first Sunday session, and there was such a buzz at the tables. I can’t wait to see everyone battling to be the first PokerStars PA champion.”

Players who deposit at least $50 using the PokerStars PA Promo Code ‘PACOOP’ before 1:59 on December 15 will be given entry to the Main Event Depositor Freeroll which is awarding 25 $300 seats to the PACOOP Main Event.

There are also daily freerolls for players who get knocked out of WCOOP events before making the money. Each of these 16 freerolls will award $1,250 in satellite tickets and entries to PACOOP event tickets.

The 2019 New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOOP) wrapped up in late October with $1,000,000 guaranteed. While the Sunday Majors schedule in PA has been bigger than it’s New Jersey counterpart, the PACOOP schedule comes in on the cautious side. The NJCOOP Main Event had an identical $300 buy-in and $100,000 guaranteed.
