PocketFives Rankings: Legenden Up 16 Spots to #6


The PocketFives Online Poker Rankingswere recalculated on Wednesday. eisenhower1, who calls Sweden home, closed out the 2015 calendar year as the #1 ranked player, having ascended to the throne on September 30. He has 7,313 PLB Points, the measure used to determine the Rankings, and leads second-ranked veeea by 27 points. Will we have a changing of the guard as we ring in 2016? We’ll have to find out next week.
Let’s start with eisenhower1, who won the PartyPoker Heavyweight Uppercut on December 22 for $8,400 and 225 PLB Points, helping preserve his lead in the Rankings. All told, he has $7.8 million in tracked online MTT winnings and a healthy 4,328 in the money finishes. He has been a member of PocketFives since 2006.
veeea, who is ranked #2, won the 24hPoker Sunday Drive 10 days ago for $4,300 and 111 PLB Points. His big splash came last month in the Sunday Million, a tournament he took down for a mammoth $183,000 payday and over 1,000 PLB Points. The same day, he won the PokerStars Bigger $109 for another $40,000 and 503 PLB Points.

Legenden hit it big this week, moving up 16 spots in the PocketFives Rankings from #22 to #6. He is fresh off winning the PokerStars Super Tuesday for the second time and banked almost $100,000 in the process, helping propel him back into the top 10 worldwide. He was ranked #1 on our site as recently as two years ago.
After reentering his screen names, former #1 ranked player StrungOut1resurfaced at #14 in the world. StrungOut1 final tabled the Full Tilt Sunday Major over the weekend for $7,000 and ruled the roost on our site earlier this year. He is approaching $5 million in career online tournament winnings.
Shooting up 44 spots in the Rankings this week was Aggro Santos, whose real name is Scott Margereson. He’s currently at #52 worldwide and won both the 888 Octopus and PokerStars Saturday Super Knockout on December 22 for over $30,000 total. He has notched five tracked wins in December, raising his career total to 102.

Brazil’s heyalisson moved up 37 spots to settle at #60. This is the highest he has ever been in the Rankings and comes on the heels of three wins this month along with a $46,000 payday for finishing second in the Sunday Supersonic three days ago. heyalisson is the fifth-ranked player in Brazil and #1 in the plateau city of Curitiba.
The Netherlands’ Bunkervogel, who entered his screen names this week, entered the top 100 at #63 and just passed $1 million in winnings. He has four wins in the last 10 days, including $10,000 for taking down the PokerStars $2.22 Rebuy Saturday Splash. Bunkervogel is the top-ranked player from the Netherlands.
