Ludovic Geilich Earns Second WCOOP Title with High Roller Victory

Scotland’s Ludovic Geilich made the absolute most of the light schedule on Day 4 of the 2020 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker. Geilich beat out a final table that included some of the best players in the world to lay claim to his second WCOOP title and nearly a quarter-million dollars.
Geilich outlasted Timothy Adams, Filipe Oliviera, Thomas Mühlöcker, Mikita Badziakouski, former 1-ranked online poker player Chris Hunichen, and eventual runner-up Ole Schemion to win Event #10 High ($10,300 High Roller). Geilich earned $238,966.30 for the victory. His WCOOP title came in 2016 when he won the $21,000 Pot Limit Omaha Six Max event for $462,182.17.
Schemion had to settle for $184,675.70 as the runner-up, while Hunichen pocketed $142,719.30 for coming in third place.
A longtime WCOOP legend added to his legacy on Wednesday. Noah ‘Exclusive’ Boeken won the third WCOOP title of his career by beating 84 other runners in Event #11 High ($1,050 Limit Hold’em Six Max) for $20,312.17. His most recent WCOOP win came in 2018 when he won Event #54 Medium ($1,050 8-Game High Roller). Russian Konstantin ‘krakukra’ Maslak came in second place for $15,595.74.
Other players who managed to grab a piece of WCOOP history on Wednesday included former #1-ranked Christopher ‘ImDaNuts’ Oliver (Event #10 Medium), ‘Lg#born2win’ (Event #10 Low), ‘pycadasgalax’ (Event #11 Medium), and ‘rastafari898’ (Event #11 Low).
