Overnight, Mustapha lasagnaaammmKanit (pictured) hit the jackpot in the high-stakes Main Event of the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker, taking the tournament down outright for $1.3 million. It was his second SCOOP title and marked the sixth largest online cash ever by a member of PocketFives.

The $10,000 buy-in tournament drew almost 700 entrants. Kanit was in sixth place by the time the final eight rolled around and, if the chip deficit weren’t enough, he was facing other heavy-hitters like Shaun shaundeebDeeb, Christian eisenhower1Jeppsson, and Emil Maroonlime Patel.

Kanit took Deeb out in seventh place in a race with A-Q suited against 9-9. Kanit spiked an ace on the flop to pull ahead and hit a queen on the river for good measure to send Deeb packing. Jeppsson followed Deeb out the door in sixth in the same fashion, losing a race with K-J against 2-2.

While this author was perusing Twitter on Monday night, he ran across a Tweet from Scott Seiver that said, “For anyone not watching, this SCOOP $10k FT is the most entertaining final table I have ever watched.” The lead kept changing hands and, appropriately, the nail-biter ended in a very unique way.

Kanit was up 3:1 in chips over Patel (pictured) when heads-up play began and, 10 hands later, Patel shoved on a board reading J-Q-9-Q-10 and tabled J-10 for two pair. Kanit, however, rolled over pocket queens for quads and won $1.3 million.

One of our favorite comments on Twitter came from Jordan inblueCristos, who wrote, “Is @Mustacchione a real person? Like does he have blood and a brain and stuff? Or machine?” Here’s how the SCOOP High final table shook out:

Kanit has been on an absolute tear as of late. He won the FTOPS Main Event in Marchfor $239,000 and took down the Sunday 500 last December for $65,000. Earlier this month, Kanit won the EPT Monte Carlo Super High Roller for $1 million.
