Benny Glaser Wins Third WCOOP Title with $2,100 HORSE Victory

Benny Glaser added another piece to his poker resume on Tuesday winning a third PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker title.

Glaser, who also owns five Spring Championship of Online Poker titles, defeated Japan’s Naoya ‘nkeyno’ Kihara in Event #55 High ($2,100 HORSE) to win $43,055. This marks the third consecutive year that Glaser has conquered a WCOOP event. In 2018, he won a $55 Six Max Pot Limit Omaha event, and in 2019, he took down a $109 Razz title.

Almost as if required, the biggest winner on the day came from Brazil. Vitor Peixoto Moreira defeated Philipp Gruissem heads up to win Event #48 Medium ($530 Sunday Slam) to walk away with $210,236.64, including $72,433.28 from bounties. Gruissem earned $122,785.74 as the second place finisher.

For the second time this year, Viktor ‘papan9_p$’ Ustimov made his way through an entire WCOOP field to claim a title. Ustimov beat out 273 other players in Event #54 High ($1,050 NLHE Win The Button) to earn $52,284.18. It was one week ago that the Russian took down Event #31 High ($530 4 Max NLHE) for his first-ever WCOOP title.

Guntis ‘poker@luffyD’ Aleskins outlasted 1,320 other entries in Event #52 High ($530 Six Max NLHE PKO) for a $76,946.38 payday and his first career WCOOP victory.

Beating out 364 other entries in Event #53 High ($530 Pot Limit Omaha) gave Russian ‘IExPlayI’ their first WCOOP win and $33,236.59.

WCOOP 2020 has had a number of players win more than one title. Dante ‘dantegoyaF’ Goya joined that group on Tuesday by topping the 23,459-entry field in Event #48 Low ($55 NLHE Sunday Slam) for $59,969.23 and another $20,581.02 in bounties. Goya’s first win came on the first weekend of WCOOP in Event #3-H ($5,200 PLO Six Max High Roller).

There were eight other players who won WCOOP titles on Tuesday including ‘GALENIA‘ (Event #52 Low), ‘ginolatino33′ (Event #52 Medium), ‘Wall131TCI-I‘ (Event #53 Medium), ‘1bloodflood‘ (Event #53 Low), ‘ghkvbb‘ (Event #54 Medium), ‘markovitsus‘ (Event #54 Low), ‘Dorination‘ (Event #55 Medium), and ‘B—rabbit444‘ (event #55 Low).
