POWERFEST: ‘CalmDownMan’ Wins Super High Roller PKO Title For $147K

For online poker players, it’s exciting to battle in the six-figure prize pools that are available during partypoker’s POWEFEST. However, on Day 4 of the online series, cooler heads prevailed as high-stakes online grinder ‘CalmDownMan’ took home the day’s top prize.

‘CalmDownMan’ outlasted the 100 entries in Event #35-SHR ($5,200 6-Max PKO) to earn the first=-place prize of $56,950.16 plus an additional $90,268.75 in bounties for a total score of over $147,000. Finishing as the runner-up was ‘kgroqigmqtbmqom’ who finished the tournament earning $56,900.15 plus another $16,250 in bounties.

‘RentCollection’ should be set for a while after going the distance in Event #31-HR ($530 6-Max, Grind). They defeating ‘PayAndPlay’ heads-up to ‘collect’ $25,653.84 for first. For their part ‘PayAndPlay’ got paid $16,480 for their second-place finish.

Event #32-HR ($1,050 8-6 Mix-Max) saw ‘Ben Molho’ make it two days in a row with a final table appearance. This time, the grinder closed it out picking up $49,813.20 for first place and picking up a little extra equity thanks to a small $3,000 overlay. ‘BlueMagic1’ finished in second place in this one, earning an even $32,000.

Some of the biggest prize pools of the day surrounded the PKO events of Event #35. Despite not being a High Roller or Super High Roller, the $278,124 prize pool of Event #35-H ($320 8-Max, PKO) was the second largest of the day. ‘Und4d0gsonT0P’ emerged as the winner and captured $18,641.79 for first plus another $25,536.56 in bounties.

The PKO event was also kind to ‘mogvision.’ who claimed gold in Event #35-HR ($1,050 8-Max, PKO) for $20,918.02 and an additional $28,448.50 in bounties for a total score of over $49,000.

It was also a good night for ‘vodkasoda’ who defeated ‘GingerNinja’ in heads-up play during Event #36-HR ($2,100 PLO 6-Max) to take home the $48,172.13 first-place prize and the POWERFEST title. ‘GingerNinja’ picked up $30,030 of their own for the second-place finish.
