When PokerStars PA first released the schedule for the inaugural Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker, the $300 Main Event was set to have a $100,000 guarantee. Strong returns in the first week of PACOOP forced PokerStars to up the guarantee to $125,000. Turns out, that wasn’t big enough.

Sunday’s Main Event drew 640 entries from 420 unique players to push the final prize pool to $179,200, beating the guarantee by 43%. Just 75 players advanced to Day 2 with ‘I.Ogimura’ sitting on top of the rest of the field.

The top 10 chip counts heading into Day 2 include a number of Pennsylvania players who have had strong PACOOP performances to date. Action resumes at 7 PM ET.

‘PLANTandDTS’ Rides to Victory in Event #43

The first event on Sunday’s schedule, Event #43 ($100 No Limit Hold’em w/Big Antes), went to ‘PLANTandDTS‘ who saored past the 332 other entries to wint $5,695.89. The final prize pool of $30,569.40 blew right past the $20,000 guarantee.

Runner-up ‘NoamSayng‘ took home $4,184.55 while ‘A Frequent ?‘ picked up another PACOOP cash, coming in third place for $3,074.35.
