GGPoker and the WSOP are already putting millions on the line for players in the forthcoming 2024 WSOP Online Series.

The ink has barely dried on the exclusive new agreement between GGPoker’s leading investment company NSUS Group and last week’s sensational purchase of the WSOP brand. Hot on the heels of that announcement which stunned the poker world, the 2024 WSOP Online festival on GGPoker has been announced, and 33 new gold bracelets are there to be won.

Negreanu Hails ‘Unforgettable’ WSOP Online Series

“This series also brings players from different regions together to showcase their skills.” ~ Daniel Negreanu

With the action kicking off on August 18, millions of dollars are going to be on the line as players battle for the 33 bracelets on offer until September 30. Kid Poker, a.k.a. GGPoker Global Ambassador Daniel Negreanu, can’t wait for the fun to begin.

“I am thrilled to unveil another exciting year of WSOP Online,” he said. “This series is not only an opportunity to compete for WSOP gold bracelets but also brings players from different regions together to showcase their skills. It’s a unique chance for the global poker community to participate in the most prestigious online series and create truly unforgettable poker experiences!”

With 33 highly coveted WSOP gold bracelets and millions in prize money up for grabs, all the tournaments take place exclusively on GGPoker, the home of the weekly $10,300 GG MILLION$ event, which regularly attracts legends of the game such as Artur Martirosian, Michael Addamo and Ole Schemion among hundreds of others.

GGPoker, of course, spent this week celebrating the biggest win of the year – away from the felt. Over the weekend, their primary investment company, NSUS Group, purchased the WSOP for $500m, with $250m of that amount paid immediately and the other $250m due as a promissory note in five years’ time.

What Are the 2024 WSOP Online Tournament Highlights?

With 33 events, attention is focused on the $5,000-entry Main Event. With an incredible $25,000,000 guarantee, the 28th event on the schedule will see the final day’s action take place live and exclusively on GGPoker.TV where fans can watch it all take place from 6.45pm UTC on September 24.

Winning the WSOP Online Main Event is a major achievement, live or online, and whoever takes the title will certainly become a millionaire. Last year, British-born Belgian player Bert Stevens won the $2.78 million top prize and broadcast the incredible ending on his YouTube channel for the world to see.

The WSOP Online Main Event isn’t the only event with an astronomical guarantee on offer. The $10,300-entry GGMillion$ High Rollers event has a $10,000,000 guarantee and takes place right at the close of action, ending on September 30 as the final event of the series. Other more reasonable articles include the $300-entry Gladiators of Poker event with a $2.5m guarantee and two days of action, the $1m top bounty Mystery Millions events with a $10m guarantee and just a $215 buy-in

There are also two very similar sounding events that are very different, in the $400-entry Colossus and Plossus events. As the names suggest, both are huge, with the Colossus taking place in NLHE and having a $4m guarantee, and the PLO version Plossus having a $1m guarantee.

Satellite and Worldwide Schedule

With the qualifiers already starting, players can get into the action from $1 on GGPoker, with satellites to all the 33 WSOP events running now. Just like last year, GGPoker players will be assigned to one of four continents – Americas, Europe, Mediterranean, and Asia Pacific.

Which region does the best in terms of event winners is important for every player as whichever region finishes top with other $3m in Continental Flipouts for players from that region. Each Flipout linked to a bracelet event and are open to “bracelet-event participants who hail from the same continent as the event winners”.

Whichever the top 10 countries are in terms of overall results will also be rewarded, with ten separate Bracelet Standing Freerolls offering total rewards of $1,000,000 in prizes.
